Description:
About the Role:
As an Accountant, you will be reporting to the Company Director.
This role will involve the following duties but not limited to:
- Preparation of management reporting, including forecasted statements, periodically, including projected statements and budgets.
- Analyzing complex financial reports, and financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or suppliers, banks and statutory auditors.
- Maintaining the general ledger, preparing/filing tax returns, assisting with external /internal audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
- Arranging accounting entries, compliance-based auditing, producing accounting information and record-keeping.
- Processing and managing payroll entries and ensure compliance by reviewing weekly payrolls, employee benefits, leave provisions accurately and on a timely basis including tax allocation for PAYG.
- Working directly with the company Director, reviewing, timely lodging, and payment of regulatory and taxation needs such as BAS, payroll tax, Superannuation, and paperwork for ASIC.
- Creating and maintaining accounting systems, as well as advising on the selection and use of computer-based accounting systems.
- Review and reconcile business bank statements, financial transactions, and actual budgets against the year’s expected budget.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Implementation and administering accounting information systems in accounting software MYOB.
About the applicant:
· Degree qualified (majoring in Accounting or Finance)
· At least one year of experience as an Accountant (preferable)
· Highly skilled with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel and Word
· Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
