JOB DESCRIPTION:

As an Accountant at our medical centers, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining accurate financial records for both Milton Medical Centre and Unihealth Playford.
You will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to support strategic planning, manage budgets and payroll, coordinate staff recruitment, and implement systems that enhance operational performance and patient service delivery. Your leadership and financial insight will be integral to the smooth and effective functioning of our medical centers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualification (must be a certified member).
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the healthcare or medical sector.
  • Experience in budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in hiring, preferably of doctors or healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with billing systems, preferably within a medical center environment.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day financial activities of both Milton Medical Centre and Unihealth Playford.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Prepare and manage financial documentation, including reports, ledgers, and statements.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff on business planning and financial strategy.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets; oversee payroll processing and maintain financial efficiency.
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff in collaboration with HR and management.
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes that improve business operations and workflow efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of practices and systems that improve the overall patient experience.
