We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant who can handle both bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities across one of our business units. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys both the transactional detail and the bigger-picture reporting. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including GL, AP, AR, payroll postings, and bank accounts. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in a timely manner. Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations (cash, receivables, payables, intercompany, prepaid, accruals, etc.). Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including invoice processing and vendor payments. Month-End Close & Reporting Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis. Maintain schedules, working papers, and supporting documentation for audits and reviews. Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and internal controls. Analysis & Business Support Prepare expense analyses of major accounts and identify trends or anomalies. Extract, transform, and analyze data from ERP/accounting systems for reporting. Provide support to BU managers by answering finance-related queries and explaining results. Assist in budget tracking and monitoring, providing insights into variances. Compliance & Audit Support Ensure accurate documentation and audit readiness of all financial records. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for external auditors and tax filings. Stay up-to-date on accounting policies, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experience. Solid knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar). Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize competing deadlines. High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to resolve discrepancies. Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with non-finance stakeholders. Integrity, accountability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
