Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required Chartered Accountant preferred Typically 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting preferred Experience in Fortune 1000 size company (publicly traded) with high volume transactions and disciplined close process preferred Theoretical and practical grasp of US GAAP (Basic proficiency) Understanding of accounting processes and ERP systems (Basic proficiency) Basic understanding of US payroll tax a plus Experience in SOX control execution/documentation desirable (Basic proficiency) Proficiency in MS Office Suite, advanced Excel skills required including: nested formulas, pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Indexing Experience in Oracle/Oracle fusion preferred Effective verbal and written communications (Intermediate proficiency) Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills (Basic proficiency) Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and progressive environment (Basic proficiency) Strong analytical skills, exceptional organization and time management skills, and ability to work autonomously Willingness to learn and develop new skills (Intermediate proficiency) Willingness to work across Time Zones (North America) Ability to follow up on pending issues, take initiative and solve problems (Intermediate proficiency) Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations Analyze and document account variances as assigned Supports SOX compliance relating to assigned areas of the business Provide support to finance management and other internal customers as needs arise, including, ad hoc financial analysis and special projects Prepares assigned audit PBC requests; works with senior accountants and Supervisor to develop timely responses to auditor questions and other inquiries Develops a clear understanding of the expected work paper approach and associated referencing techniques consistent with policy Performs other duties as assigned Work in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office work setting.
