Description Position Overview: The Accountant is responsible for performing core accounting functions and conducting financial analysis to support the organization, utilizing the company’s ERP system. Essential Job Responsibilities: Accounts Payable Management- responsible to organize and ensure payables are issued in a timely and accurate manner and coded to the correct GL account. Accounts Receivable Management- issue invoices to customers, apply payment to proper account, keep track of accounts that are past due and follow up as appropriate. Inventory-input all product received, product sold, product returned, and set appropriate pricing Specialized Departmental Accounting- Special emphasis on agronomy and construction department accounting functions. Reconciliation- company credit cards, bank accounts, etc. Financial Statement Analysis- prepare and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, profit and loss statements and make appropriate recommendations Audits- involvement in tax and accounting audits Cash Flow- Assisting with cash flow management and loans Compliance and Confidentiality- ensures WFR is compliant with all federal, state, and local legal requirements and laws, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and authenticity Reasonable Accommodations Statement: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Business, or a related field preferred. Associate's degree required. One year of experience in accounting or finance. Qualifications Detail oriented and organized Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot Great communication Collaboration with all accounting team members and staff members Ethical Self-starter and driven Customer focused Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel Ability to sit for extended periods of time Capable of doing repeated actions. Familiarity with accounting software or ability to learn. Work Environment Schedule: Must work scheduled days and hours assigned by manager. Must work full time, a minimum of 40 hours per week. Schedule will be Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with additional hours as needed. Environment: Indoors and outdoors. Nosie level is usually quiet to moderate. Majority of time will be spent in an office environment. Travel: Minimal.
