Role: Accounting Administrative Specialist
Employment: Full time (40 hrs/wk)
Location: Head Office - 55 Head Street, Suite 401, Dundas, ON, L9H 3H8
Salary: $46-50,000 to start DOE
We are looking for individual with a love of accounting admin functions as well as an interest in working at a beautiful location with a great team! This full-time role is an in-office position based at of our Head Office in Dundas, Ontario, and involves a variety of A/R duties while working directly with the Client Services Team.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A certificate or diploma in accounting preferred, or related courses completed
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting admin position, preferably in the various needs of A/R
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, software-based environment
  • Working knowledge of and experience using Google Drive, Gmail and Sheets
  • Strong proficiency in Quickbooks Online, in Microsoft Office (Excel), and aptitude to learn other software tools
  • Experience with Zendesk is considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a positive workspace
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to receive both verbal and written instruction
  • A strong sense of personal integrity

Responsibilities
  • Create customer invoices and estimates as needed, distribute, record customer payments and monitor outstanding balance
  • Manage customer credit terms by processing applications quickly, conducting reference checks, updating Client Services system
  • Complete account setup processes for vendors and customers
  • Maintain complete records re: client contracts, ensuring accuracy, proper invoicing and filing as per approved amounts/schedules
  • Anticipate roadblocks and work to mitigate their impact; ultimately assisting where required in expediting resolutions and ensuring a smooth day-to-day operation
  • Retrieve, process and distribute Canada Post mail
  • Provide support to Accountant with other accounting admin duties as needed
  • Assist in the backup performance of other Client Services or Operations roles, as needed
