As a proud partner with Kelowna Aerospace Defence Programs, we deliver numerous support services tailored to our client, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).
The Accounting Administrator position is a part-time permanent role located in Southport, MB and reports to the Financial Analyst. Their primary focus is to apply accounting principles and procedures throughout the organization’s accounting cycle. We provide a flexible work schedule of 20 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, between 8:00am – 4:30pm. Additional hours are offered to cover off other admin personnel.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage accounts payable
  • Prepare invoices for payment and reconcile vendor accounts
  • Reconcile parts deliveries with PO’s
  • Create, schedule, process and close work orders
  • Prepare monthly preventative maintenance work orders
  • Assist with Reception responsibilities – telephone calls, emails, mail and visitors
  • Assist with inventory control
  • Provide backup for daily time entry
  • Provide month-end reports
  • Maintain filing system of all accounts payables.
  • Order office supplies
  • Participate in the prevention of accidents and promote a safe working environment
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate in the administrative field, accounting or related field an asset

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 years of administrative experience in an office environment
  • Knowledgeable of accounting functions and processes an asset

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • JD Edwards or an Oracle-based ERP system
