Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, the Accounting Advisor will be a key player in financial reporting and analysis for multiple entities. You will prepare reports, handle government filings, and contribute to special projects, all while upholding high standards of integrity, inclusivity, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate is a meticulous professional with strong accounting knowledge and proficient Excel skills. Main responsibilities include:

  • Oversee accurate and timely internal/external financial reporting for multiple entities
  • Maintain and support the general ledger system
  • Manage the month-end accounting cycle, including transaction preparation, control, and monitoring
  • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Support treasury operations: monitor cash balances, forecast cash flow, and prepare bank reconciliations
  • Assist with interim and year-end audit preparation and requests

QUALIFICATIONS

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting/commerce/finance
  • A completed CPA designation (Ontario)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in public accounting is an asset
  • Bilingualism in French is an asset
