In response to this growth, we are seeking an Accounting Advisory Consultant to deliver high-quality QuickBooks Online (QBO) consultations, support additional A&P revenue opportunities through accurate scoping and quoting, and guide prospective clients into the appropriate accounting services. This position combines advanced QBO expertise with strong client-facing communication skills to diagnose bookkeeping issues, provide practical recommendations, and translate client needs into actionable proposals. The role directly contributes to client satisfaction, revenue growth, and the overall efficiency of the Accounting & Payroll department. To do this well, you’ll need to be both technically strong and people-savvy—able to juggle deadlines, provide strategic insights, and lead by example. You’ll also need to be detail-oriented, tech-proficient, and passionate about delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience. What You Will Do, Own, and Bring * Consultations * Conduct all QBO/Accounting consultations for new and existing clients * Assess the client’s books for accuracy and areas of opportunity for improvements * Provide clear, actionable recommendations tailored to the client’s business needs. * Document findings and deliver a professional summary to clients and internal teams. * Support upsell opportunities into monthly accounting or cleanup services. * Current Client Upsell Support * Manage all upsell referral workflows from intake through completed scope * Review client books, diagnose work required, and prepare accurate proposals and fees. * Collaborate with Sales and Accounting Managers to ensure alignment on expectations. * Maintain timely communication on opportunities to ensure workflows move efficiently. * New Client Sales Support * Engage with clients professionally to explain service options and clarify accounting needs. * Provide guidance to Account Executives on A&P services, proposals and fees. * Internal Collaboration * Execute QBO clean-up projects as needed. * Partner with VP of Accounting & Payroll and A&P managers to help drive the success of the department. * Contribute insights on trends or recurring issues to support A&P service model improvements. * Oversee the firm’s QBO account administration and act as the central point of contact with Intuit for escalations, support, and product coordination. Experience and Education You Will Need * High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is strongly preferred. * Three to five years of accounting experience, ideally client-facing. * Advanced proficiency in QBO, QBO Level Two Certification is strongly preferred. * Demonstrated ability to assess financial data and provide accurate recommendations. * Highly proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to adapt to new systems quickly. * Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage time effectively in a high-paced environment.   Who You Are * You are an accounting ninja and possess deep expertise in accounting practices and experience in an advisory or onboarding-focused accounting role. * You demonstrate exceptional accuracy and crazy attention to detail, effectively managing multiple priorities and consistently meeting deadlines. * You are a strategic thinker, capable of analyzing complex financial data and delivering insightful, data-driven recommendations. * You communicate complex financial information with clarity and impact, ensuring understanding across clients and team members. * You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting software (QBO), with the ability to master new systems quickly. * You uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. * You navigate high-paced, high-pressure situations with confidence, maintaining composure and focus.
