The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting Uni-Select’s financial operations, providing accurate financial analysis and reporting. This position requires an analytical and detail-oriented individual with a solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and data analysis. The successful candidate will report to the Finance and Accounting Manager, work closely with the finance team and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Your Daily Contribution & Impact:

• Participate in the financial and accounting analysis of acquisitions;
• Monitor acquisition adjustments and prepare post-acquisition analyses;
• Prepare financial reports including balance sheet and income statements;
• Ensure the accounting and analyze the performance of the company-owned stores;
• Collaborate with internal and external teams;
• Ensure the accounting of acquisition transactions in accordance with US GAAP accounting standards;
• Participate in internal control testing, including Sorbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and identify potential improvements to financial processes;
• Provide support to the external and internal audit processes, preparing the required analyses and documents.

Expertise & Essential Skills:

• Degree in accounting, finance or related field;
• CPA certification (obtained or in progress) strongly desired;
• 4-5 years of experience in acquisition accounting or related roles;
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools, accounting software and Microsoft Excel;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Attention to detail and a high degree of precision;
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team;
• Bilingual (English and French) preferred.
