SUMMARY

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will ensure the rigorous execution of recurring accounting tasks, the processing of financial data, and the preparation of basic management reports. You will also contribute to certain financial analyses and the maintenance of data quality using tools such as Excel, Pivot, and others (pivot tables, advanced functions, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • College diploma (DEC) in accounting, finance, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is an asset.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in accounting, including month-end entries and account reconciliations.
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, conditional formulas, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX and/or NetSuite is an asset.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in performing accounting tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple accounting files simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly accounting entries, including journal entries, adjustments, amortizations, and provisions.
  • Actively participate in month-end and year-end processes.
  • Prepare monthly analyses and reports to provide the necessary information for publishing financial results.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and justify variances.
  • Enter and verify data in accounting systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Use Excel to structure, cross-reference, and analyze management data.
  • Contribute to the development of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
  • Support the financial analysis team with ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Protect company assets, ensure compliance, optimize resource use, and participate in risk management.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the finance department by supporting colleagues and demonstrating agility.
