This individual will be responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and validating accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and general ledger activity to ensure all financial data is complete, accurate, and recorded in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with department leaders to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Review and validate all AP and AR transactions for accuracy and completeness. Ensure invoices, payments, deposits, adjustments, and credits are properly recorded. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, missing documentation, and posting errors. Monitor aging reports and assist with collection and payment follow-up efforts as needed. Reconciliations & Financial Accuracy Reconcile company credit card statements and ensure proper coding and supporting documentation. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations. Review financial transactions to ensure postings are accurate and comply with company policies. Identify inconsistencies, errors, and unusual activity and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate supporting schedules and reconciliation workpapers. Financial Reporting & Analysis Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare reports and analyses related to financial transactions and account activity. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial review activities as requested. Assist leadership with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects. Process Improvement & Compliance Help develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls. Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. Support external audits and requests for financial documentation. Collaborate with operational leaders to improve financial workflows and reporting accuracy. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysis experience. Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting principles. Experience using QuickBooks. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Preferred Public accounting experience. Experience working in a multi-location healthcare organization. Experience with financial reporting and month-end close processes.
