Description

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting financial operations by analyzing accounting data and executing general accounting functions within a corporate environment, including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers, and assisting with monthly closing and account analysis. This role ensures compliance with financial reporting standards and supports the organization’s financial health and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Analyze financial data and prepare accurate financial reports and statements
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Maintain and update accounting records and systems, including the general ledger
  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for decision-making
  • Perform variance analysis and report on financial performance against plan
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 0–1 years of professional experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
