Accounting Analyst, Reconciliations _________________________________________________________________________ Department: Accounting Location: On site, Laval, QC (4204 boulevard Industriel, H7L 0E3) Type of employment: Temporary – 1 year contract, Full Time (37,5 hours) _________________________________________________________________________ THE ROLE Reporting to the Payment Methods Reconciliation Accounting Supervisor, within the operational accounting team, the Reconciliation Accounting Analyst will provide accounting support services to the stores under their responsibility. WHAT YOU’LL DO Want to start your career with us? Here's an overview of the main responsibilities of this position: Reconcile, for each financial period, the general ledger accounts related to the payment methods accepted in store; Cash deposits Debit/credit cards Gas station debit/credit cards Gas station promotions and discount coupons; Prepaid cards and gift cards; Record entries for payment discrepancies (shortfalls and surpluses); Responsible for explaining and justifying payment discrepancies. Responsible for taking steps to recover amounts not received. Record entries for bank deposits, bank fees, card fees, equipment fees, and chargeback charges. Participate in the continuous improvement of processes used in the position. Provide support to the store operations team and the accounting team. WHAT YOU’LL NEED We want you to join our team! Here's what we're looking for: Education: BAC in Accounting Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience Knowledge and skills: Good knowledge of Excel; Ability to manage multiple files; Be meticulous, independent, show initiative, and have good analytical skills; Know how to manage priorities while meeting deadlines; Interpersonal skills; Customer service skills; Knowledge of PDI software will be considered an asset; Knowledge of the ReconNet application will be considered an asset. Language skills: Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above.
