THE OPPORTUNITYÂ

We are seeking an accounting professional for the Analyst, Shared Services position. Reporting to the Manager, Cost, Capital and Shared Services, this individual has the proven skills, competencies, and capacity in accounting, as well as an aptitude for process improvement.Â
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across our Commercial, Operations, and Projects teams to drive operational excellence and contribute to the continued growth and success of our South Bow operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•   Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or a related field Â
•   3 to 5 years of progressive accounting or finance related experienceÂ
•   Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•   Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
•   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•   Excellent attention to detail
•   Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
•   Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities
•   Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and tackle new challenges

South Bow’s existing oil & liquids pipeline infrastructure connects Alberta crude oil supplies to U.S. refining markets in Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas and the U.S. Gulf Coast. Â We remain committed to meeting the energy needs of North Americans today, while advancing our Liquids Pipelines System for the demands of the future. Responsibilities:

•   Manage cash application activities including but not limited to:
o   Review and reconciliation of receipts and deposits
o   Cheque deposits
o   Bank reconciliations
o   Accounts receivable A/R aging summary
o   Posting revenues
o   Follow-up on outstanding invoice
•   Facilitate the accounting for pension and share related entries
•   Analyze monthly balances among intercompany accounts
•   Liaise with relevant parties to resolve accounting issues and identify opportunities for process improvement
•   Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as needed
