POSITION SUMMARY

As our Accounting and Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations and office running smoothly. This is a dynamic position that blends accounting, payroll support, reception, and administrative responsibilities—perfect for someone who loves a bit of variety in their day! You’ll work closely with the accounting team and be the go-to person for front-office support, creating a positive first impression for anyone who walks through our doors.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting/administrative role.
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and procedures (QBO and Squarecoil)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

RECEPTION & FRONT DESK DUTIES

  • Welcome visitors and direct them appropriately with a professional and friendly attitude.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls and emails.
  • Maintain reception area and ensure it is clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Support daily communication between departments and external contacts.
