Beechwood Agri Services Ltd. is a full-service grain business. We offer grain marketing, exporting, process, handling and storage.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College diploma in Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum of three years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, processing account payables and receivables, financial documentation, and internal reporting
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal formats, and when interacting with both individuals and groups
  • High level of proficiency in accounting principles, practices, and payroll management
  • Ability to stay current with all regulations, practices, tax laws, reporting requirements and trends related to financial management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile USD and CAD banks daily
  • Month-End and Year-End financial statements
  • Assist with annual financial statement preparation by an outside firm
  • Annual Budget preparation
  • Meet Hedging margin requirements as needed
  • Process bi-weekly payroll using Power Pay/Dayforce
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) reporting and premium remitting as required
  • Maintain company benefit plan
  • Assist with HR, Health and Safety, and I.T. as needed
  • Oversee Administrative Assistant as needed, with data entry, expense coding or payment activities related to Accounts Payable
  • Ensure appropriate and confidential handling of all department information and files
  • Accept other duties as assigned and support special projects assigned by the President
