Description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and versatile Accounting and Office Clerk to join our client’s office team in Caraquet, NB. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting data entry, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting clerical office functions, and providing excellent service to both small and large accounts in Canada, the US, and internationally.

  • Pay Rate: $45K - $55K /year (based on experience)
  • Location: Caraquet, NB
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to report findings clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the seafood or food manufacturing industry.
  • Diploma in Accounting or relevant experience (university students with related experience are welcome).
  • Advanced proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written).
  • Familiarity with Sage 300 and ADP payroll software is considered an asset.
  • Local candidates from the neighboring community preferred.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter all accounting data accurately, ensuring purchases and sales are verified, invoiced, and recorded properly.
  • Maintain inventory records and generate related reports.
  • Perform daily clerical duties including bookkeeping, distribution, and logistics support.
  • Track and follow up on sales orders for domestic and international customers.
  • Provide service to accounts of varying sizes, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in preparing for external audits, including CFIA, MSC, SQF, and others.
  • Greet visitors and answer incoming calls professionally.
  • Support the team with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.
