POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting & Payroll Coordinator will handle day-to-day bookkeeping functions and oversee payroll processing for our team. This role requires a keen eye for accuracy, a strong understanding of accounting practices, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while meeting deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and related regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $20.00 - $31.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Record and reconcile daily transactions in QuickBooks Online.
  • Prepare and process weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Maintain payroll records and handle employee payroll inquiries.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
  • Track and process expense reports, reimbursements, and vendor invoices.
  • Support preparation of tax filings and compliance reports.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files.
  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal staff regarding billing or payroll matters.
