Description
International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for a: Accounting and Tax Supervisor Responsibilities Leads the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Oversees the month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Ensures integrity of the General Ledger and Trial Balance. Coordinates with external auditors to manage annual audits and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. Develops and maintains robust internal controls over financial reporting (Cost Centers, Cost Drivers, ABC costing processes). Monitors Fixed Assets Register and Fixed Assets Inventory. Applies Cost Accounting principles for several aspects of cost allocation activities Ensures timely preparation, review and submission of all corporate Tax statements Coordinates with external tax consultants and advisors Oversees withholding tax compliance, documentation and implementation. Stays updated with tax laws and regulations and applies all changes promptly Manages tax provision processes Leads and develops a high-performing team of accounting and tax experts. Drives process improvements, automation and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Provides insights and recommendations for budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field will be preferred Min 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in managerial capacity. ACCA is required. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and tax laws. Experience with ERP systems (SAP is preferable) Excellent knowledge of English language, both oral and written Strong Excel skills. Competencies Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
