OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience with various software. This role is essential in supporting the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in a Business-related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency in software (e.g., Sage, MicroSoft Office Suite) and strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong aptitude for investigating and resolving discrepancies with exceptional attention to detail ensuring quality, accuracy and thoroughness
  • Strong math skills with the ability to perform accurate calculations quickly (10 key typing proficiency is advantageous).
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively with the ability to prioritize time sensitive demands.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Process all incoming invoices accurately and within a week
  • Supplier Statement and Credit Card Statement reconciliation
  • Prepare AP package weekly for parent company
  • Vendor Management (set-up, W9 verification and COI management)
  • Complete vendor credit applications and other forms
  • Assist with Audit information as requested
  • Check and distribute mail daily
  • Procurement as needed
  • Organize physical and electronic files, ensuring originals are properly stored and shared files remain organized and easy to navigate for the entire team
  • Fleet management as needed
  • Additional general office duties as assigned
