We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to help the General Ledger Accounting team with daily tasks and increased workload due to company growth.

The Accounting Assistant role will work under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager. Successful candidates will bring a passion for customer service and demonstrated ability to apply standard policies and procedures to business scenarios. Communication and teamwork skills are vital to this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and roll-forward schedules
  • Assist in preparing annual audit schedules
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries as assigned
  • Understand and follow internal accounting policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with all levels of management
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Experience with Accrual Basis Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Some college required with focus in accounting subjects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional work experience preferred
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred

Pay Range:
$20 to $22 hourly. This is the lowest to highest rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
