JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Accounting Data Entry Clerk plays a critical role in our accounting department, responsible for accurately processing and recording financial transactions related to vendor payments and ensuring that financial records are up-to-date.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Knowledge of financial concepts and principles related to accounts payable
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or errors
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • High School Diploma required
  • 1-2 years of Accounts payable experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team preferred

Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and entry into the accounting system
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Communicates with vendors for all accounts payables matters.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and documentation
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of customer statements for Accounts Receivable.
