Description
Description Provide timely and accurate personal bookkeeping for persons supported receiving services from Easter Seals Tennessee Inc while assisting them in achieving independence with personal finances. This position is on-site and involves interaction with individuals with disabilities. Responsible for completing necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner Ensure a quality service for individuals, acting as an advocate for person supported. Promote a positive work environment treating person supported, staff, customers, and visitors with courtesy and respect Provide cooperation and communication between all applicable parties and departments to ensure that the individual goals and outcomes are fully integrated into the person supported life Ensure Representative Payee Reports are completed for SSI/SSA benefits annually Review monthly petty cash accounts, receipts of purchases, and food stamp receipts to insure all are accounted for correctly. Train all new Home Managers in Personal Funds Management Provide individual financial information to appropriate parties each month Other duties as assigned by the Director of Accounting Act as backup to the front desk receptionist. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required, College degree in accounting preferred. Must have 1 – 2 years experience in accounting or related field Must have prior experience with bank statements, deposit logs, and reconciliation of accounts Skilled in QuickBooks Online, Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent oral and written communication abilities and math skills in order to write reports and keep records
