Description

EBA Engineering, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support key financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank and account reconciliations, and financial report preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year of relevant accounting experience (internship experience will be considered)
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Familiarity with engineering/construction industry accounting practices

Responsibilities
  • Process and maintain accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) transactions
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
  • Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
  • Support audits by preparing schedules and gathering documentation as requested
  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal staff regarding billing and payment inquiries
  • Assist with preparing financial reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI, supporting data-driven decision-making across departments
  • Assist the accounting team with special projects and administrative tasks as needed
