Description
EHDD is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team to support offices in San Francisco and Seattle. In this role, you will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data across a range of functions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a high degree of organization to effectively support our accounting team. This position is based at our San Francisco headquarters. Responsibilities: Process General Accounts Payable and Engineering Consultant Payables. Code invoices to proper G/L account number/Project number; enter data to Deltek system; prepare invoices for payment and produce checks payable to vendors. Track consultant invoices against approved fees and prepare monthly status reports. Reconcile invoice differences with Engineering firms/other vendors. Set up new vendors in Deltek system, work directly with the project manager to prepare monthly invoices for clients, and reconcile project fees. Prepare monthly management reports for staff utilization from Deltek reports. Reconcile General Ledger accounts and bank accounts monthly; maintain schedules of prepaid expenses, and depreciation. Assist with bi-weekly payroll and weekly timesheet management. Assisting with office administrative functions. Requirements: Associate degree in accounting preferable. Two years' work experience minimum preferable in Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry firm Two or more years' experience working with Deltek software a plus. Demonstrated experience with general accounting basics. Preferred Skills: Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy, exceptional follow through and organizational skills. Strong Excel user, good Word skills. Proactive work ethic. Ability to work as part of a team and interact professionally with employees, clients and vendors. Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Courteous, approachable and team oriented. Manages all work with honesty and integrity. Willingness to embrace new technologies and constantly strive for greater efficiencies through process or technology. The base salary is one component of EHDD's competitive compensation package for employees.
