Description Our client, a growing international manufacturing company in Suffolk, VA, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role supports a range of accounting functions, with a primary focus on accounts receivable. Accounting Assistant (accounts receivable exp. req.) Responsibilities • Generate and send customer invoices • Process customer transactions • Apply incoming payments to customer accounts • Manage collections and follow up on overdue accounts • Coordinate with sales and operations on delinquent accounts and open balances • Create and track customer claims and deductions • Prepare AR aging reports and customer statements • Enter accounts payable data into SAP • Reconcile vendor statements and maintain vendor relationships • Prepare bank deposits and post cash receipts in SAP • Post inventory purchase orders • Maintain organized company records and files Accounting Assistant (accounts receivable exp. req.) Qualifications • 1 year of accounting experience required • Familiarity with accounts receivable required • Proficiency in Excel required • Able to work onsite daily required
Responsibilities
