Description Basic Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team. This role will provide essential support to the Finance Department by performing a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks. Responsibilities include processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with the month-end close process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations, included but not limited to borrower loan imports, online payments, upfronts, and escrow repairs. Provide support to the servicing and accounting/finance teams in day-to-day operations. Communicate with vendors regarding service setup, invoice discrepancies, and payment issues. Assist with marketing budget tracking, reconciliation and interdepartmental communication. Prepare and submit annual Business Property Tax Declarations by location. Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation, preparing reports and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Perform additional duties and take on new responsibilities as the role develops and departmental needs evolve. Requirements Qualifications & Skills: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, equivalent experience will be considered. Availability to work full-time (40hours/week) on-site, Monday through Friday. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
