Job Details Job Location: Hillcrest Country Club - Los Angeles, CA Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $19.00 - $25.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Category: Accounting Description Reporting directly to the Staff Accountant, the Accounting Assistant plays critical role in enabling the club to meet expectations for excellence and professionalism in its accounting operations. He or she will assist with both accounts receivable and accounts payable for the Club, ensuring all club revenues are properly recorded, summarized, and reported accurately, daily and on a timely basis. The Accounting Assistant will help verify that all charges are correct; all chits posted on time; assist with posting payment checks to members’ accounts and ensure member statements are delivered on a timely basis. Serving as first point of member contact regarding billing, he or she will answer questions by phone, email and in-person, and immediately resolve any billing issues. In supporting Accounts Payable the Accounting Assistant will ensure authorized obligations of the club are recorded in an accurate and timely manner for all vendors and subcontractors, and that the subsequent payments of these obligations are processed in accordance with club policy. Qualifications High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred At least 1 year of prior experience, preferably in a similar luxury environment A service-oriented personality; warm, friendly, and outgoing without being overbearing, possessing a pleasant and caring manner with everyone Able to communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders; to follow oral and written instructions and to memorize necessary information Intermediate to advance computer skills; facility with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; able to learn new programs quickly and easily A team player able to work well with others Great attention to detail Exceptional grooming habits, reliably presenting in clean professional business attire Punctual and reliable Able to work long hours on short notice, juggle multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines Comfortable with frequent interruptions Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred CPR Certification a plus Lift up to 10 lbs.
Responsibilities
The Accounting Assistant assists with accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of club revenues. They also serve as the first point of contact for members regarding billing inquiries and issues.
