A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN Accounting Admin Assistant Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records. Perform data entry for invoices, receipts, and financial transactions. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies. Process payments to vendors and follow up on outstanding invoices. Posts payments by recording check, electronic and credit card transactions. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred but not required. Proven experience in an administrative or accounting support role. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to handle data entry with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of basic financial reporting and reconciliation.
