Position Summary:
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Office of Catholic Education and Bishop Shanahan High School are currently seeking an energetic and outgoing individual to fill the position of Accounting Assistant. This position will be responsible for providing crucial administrative and clerical support to the accounting and finance department, handling tasks such as data entry, document processing, and financial record maintenance. They will also assist with tasks like billing, payroll, vendor relations, and account reconciliation, often serving as a point of contact for financial inquiries. This role will involve working closely with all departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in a professional office environment, particularly in an accounting or finance setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity or experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, families, administrators, faculty, and staff.
  • Possess initiative, leadership, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of, and commitment to, the mission of Bishop Shanahan High School
    This is a 12 month position with Part Time hours – 19 hours a week
