Description

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

Busy HOA management company is seeking a hardworking, detailed oriented individual who excels in customer service. Candidate must have a proactive and positive attitude. Individual shall perform accounting functions and support the accounting team with administrative and clerical tasks.
The job duties include but are not limited to:
· Process accounts payables
· Process accounts receivables
· Post financial data to accounts
· Participate in annual audits by gathering information as needed for the audit and annual tax returns as requested from the CPA
· Handle written and verbal communication between the company, its clients, and vendors
· Prepare reports based on financial data
· Assemble and maintain financial spreadsheets
· Reconcile and code invoices for payment
· Perform basic office tasks like filing, data entry, draft collection letters, and mail processing
· Conduct basic bookkeeping and administrative tasks
· Answer telephone calls and perform basic receptionist duties as needed
· Process client payroll biweekly

QUALIFICATIONS

· Must have working knowledge on basic accounting skills
· Must be proficient in Microsoft office to include word and excel
· Working knowledge on how to use Adobe Acrobat
· Excellent customer service and administrative skills
· Pleasant demeanor and proactive attitude
· Polite, friendly, and professional mannerism
· Sound verbal and written communication skills
· Individual must be able to manage their time effectively in order to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
· Strong problem-solving skills

OTHER SKILLS PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

· Complete monthly bank statement reconciliations for multiple clients
· Complete general ledger entries as needed
· Prepare monthly financial statements
· Understand budgets and how to create them
