JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience with various accounting software. This role is crucial in supporting the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.

EXPERIENCE

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks such as account analysis and general ledger reconciliation.
• Excellent math skills along with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple priorities effectively.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Maintain accurate records through data entry and bookkeeping practices, including double entry bookkeeping.
• Collaborate with team members on technical accounting projects and provide support for audits.
• Utilize various financial software tools such as QuickBooks and Trinium (Drayage system) for efficient accounting operations.
