Description Oelo Lighting Solutions, an established Northern Colorado company and industry-leader in permanent holiday lighting, is seeking an engaging Accounting Assistant who enjoys working in a growing company environment, selling a lighting product that brings smiles to people’s faces! The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience with high customer satisfaction history. High organizational skills and proficiency with Acumatica, Avalara tax software, and Microsoft Office is desirable. Responsibilities: Accounts Payable -Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding -Enter invoices into accounting system and ensure timely payment -Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies with vendors -Prepare payment batches and ensure proper approval before release Corporate Credit Cards -Reconcile company credit cards transactions monthly -Review changes for accuracy and policy compliance -Record and post transactions in the accounting system Customer Invoicing and Receipts -Generate and send customer invoices -Record and apply incoming customer payments, including credit card payments -Monitor outstanding and international wire transfers -Ensure proper authorization and documentation and authorization for wire payments Financial Controls & Recordkeeping -Maintain organized documentation for all transactions -Ensure payments and receipts are accurately recorded -Support month-end close and provide documentation for audits when required Sales Tax -Maintain sales tax records in Avalara -Research and resolve discrepancies if needed Customer Service -Respond to customer and dealer inquiries and service concerns by phone, electronically and/or in person -Learn and demonstrate extensive product knowledge Requirements Requirements: Associates or equivalent experience in accounting Proficiency or expertise in the software listed above Excellent communication skills Professional attitude Able to multi-task and prioritize Meet multiple and changing deadlines Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test An outgoing, friendly personality, and a desire to meet new people Benefits: Paid Time Off and Sick Time 401k Matching Health and Dental Benefits Life Insurance Dental Bill reimbursements 9 Paid Holidays We believe your birthday is a holiday and is a treated as such!
