FULL TIME ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT – LANGLEY

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team! The ideal candidate will be reliable and responsible, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high quality work in a professional and timely manner. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Assistant will provide support in all areas of accounting and finance.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for timely data entry into the accounting system/ software program
  • Assist with reconciliations to the GL.
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • GST, PST, WCB and EHT filings and payments
  • Timely expense reporting to the Controller
  • Assist with month-end and year-end journal entries.
  • Set up new vendor accounts and maintain existing accounts, ensuring the information is accurate and up to date.
  • Reconcile to vendor statements and complete vendor credit applications
  • Reconcile company credit cards and fuel cards
  • Provide back up assistance and vacation coverage for A/P
  • Provide back up assistance and vacation coverage for bank and cash deposits.
  • Assist with reception coverage when needed.
