Accounting Associate Job Description   Role Type: Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)  Employment Basis: Full-time   Work Environment: Strictly onsite/in-person  Remote Work: No remote or hybrid options allowed  Reports to: Accounting Manager General Description: The Accounting Associate is a full-time non-exempt position, onsite, in person without remote hybrid abilities. This role aids in the accounting needs of the company.  Compensation Range: $19 - $24 per hour Essential Responsibilities and Duties: * Reconciling the company’s daily receipts and update bookkeeping ledgers. * Maintain approved cash handling procedures * Assist the Accounting Manager to maintain subcontractor information * Data Entry of Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable * Filing and remitting sales taxes and other financial obligations (including promotional reports) * Maintain Inventories and Costing * Understand financial and accounting softwares used by the company * Process AP payments & maintain appropriate files – reconcile balances as needed * Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a high level of discretion, as this role has access to sensitive and confidential financial data * Other duties as assigned   Qualifications and Skills: * Great organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills * Experience with accounting & financial softwares and data entry * Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) * Ability to work independently * Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when working with sensitive financial records and company information * Analytical skills   Education and Experience: * Accounting degree given preference but not required. * Prior experience in accounting job duties.  Benefits:  * Full-Time Employees Receive: * Comprehensive benefits package * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Full range of Health Benefits * Company paid LTD & Life Insurance * Discounted tickets to Mainstage shows * $2 onsite meal program * Developmental Trainings   Diversity Commitment: Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is committed to fostering and cultivating a culture of inclusion that celebrates diversity and promotes equity.  Our human capital is the most valuable asset we have.
