SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounting analyst to join our dynamic Finance team at Cyberclan. The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the accounting department in the day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and helping to maintain the general ledger, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in various accounting processes, taxations and audits.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years’ experience as an Accountant
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks Online
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills including Vlookup, pivot tables
  • Experience with general accounting functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly Project Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts
  • Ensure all costs and revenue are recorded correctly by project in respective departments
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of project P&L by investigating and reporting variances based on the profitability of the project
  • Identify if the project is going above the budget and report to the manager
  • Identify any gaps and initiate process improvements with manager’s approval to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, posting, and recording of cash applications for both accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and post, payroll entries, benefits allocation, intercompany project cost transfers
  • Review month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review Sales Force cash applications entries on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate and assist the team during the month end close process
  • Meet monthly close calendar deadlines
  • Act as a backup for other accounting team members during peak periods or absences, such as assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Support manager during Audit and taxation period
  • Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Other duties as assigned
