Position Title:  Accounting Associate Grade: 4 Segment: Finance Reports To: VP Accounting Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Oakdale Shift: Monday-Friday (Day)  Salary Range: $24.04– $33.65 per hour (good-faith estimate upon hire) Additional Compensation: This position includes employees to be considered for annual performance-based salary increases; eligibility and amounts are determined by individual performance and business needs. Total Compensation: In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for performance-based salary increases. Final compensation will be based on skills experience, and internal equity. ---------------------------------------- ABOUT THE ROLE Oak Valley Community Bank is looking for a detail-driven Accounting Associate to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. This role is a solid fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and keeping things organized in a fast-paced environment. ---------------------------------------- ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Reconcile daily bank statements to the general ledger * Monitor cash balances and flag funding needs * Record and maintain general ledger entries (AP, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, income/expense allocations) * Prepare supporting documentation and work papers * Review GL accounts and identify discrepancies * Pull and format financial reports * Support CDARS/ICS program processing * Update loan rate indices and maintain internal systems * Assist with required reporting (FR2900, collateral pledging, etc.) * Back up accounts payable: invoice review, coding, data entry, and payments * Help track fixed assets and prepaid expenses in line with GAAP * Support corporate credit card reconciliation and expense reporting * Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounts ---------------------------------------- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or GED required * Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred * 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience (or equivalent mix of education and experience) * Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial systems * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines ---------------------------------------- WHAT SETS YOU APART * You take ownership and follow through * You stay organized, even when things get busy * You’re comfortable asking questions and digging into discrepancies * You communicate clearly and work well with others * You handle sensitive information with professionalism ---------------------------------------- WORK ENVIRONMENT * Standard office setting * Combination of sitting, typing, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.) * Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment ---------------------------------------- Equal Pay & Opportunity Statement  Oak Valley Community Bank complies with the California Equal Pay Act and SB 642 requirements.
