JOB SUMMARY

  • Maintains the company’s financial records free of errors and in good form.
  • Duties include: A/R, A/P, Inventory, payroll, bank reconciliations and other duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Keeps track of received data and source documents.
  • Organizes and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
  • Checks figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Contacts customers or suppliers to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
  • Compares data entered with monthly statements, and makes necessary corrections to information entered to correct errors or missing transactions.
  • Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
  • Checks figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Reads incoming correspondence and communicates with customers or suppliers to address any discrepancies.
  • A/R entry and reconciliation each month as per instructions
  • A/P entry and reconciliation as per instruction
  • Receives, records, and banks cash, cheques and vouchers.
  • Complies with federal, provincial, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Reconciles bank transaction to general ledger every week or as instructed.
  • Reconciles and reports discrepancies found in records to fix them.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: College Diploma or Certificate in bookkeeping.
  • Experience: 1-2 years related experience preferably in a multi-company environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
