Job Description About the Role Ubisoft Milan is looking for an Accounting & Budgeting Manager to join our Finance team and support the studio’s operations. In this role, you will oversee all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, while also managing budget control for our game development projects. Supported by an Accountant reporting to you, you will contribute to financial reporting at both company and group level through Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). This is a key role that combines technical accounting skills with financial insight in a creative and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, intercompany, banks, and fixed assets Manage monthly and year-end closings and ensure timely preparation of statutory financial statements in collaboration with the tax consultant (OIC/Italian GAAP) Coordinate with auditors and external consultants for statutory audit and tax matters Supervise cash flow, payments, and tax deadlines Cost Control & Budgeting Responsible for the studio OPEX and CAPEX budgeting and quarterly forecast Responsible for budgeting HR and personnel costs supported by the HR Department Planning Headcounts along with producers to ensure data consistency on studio projects Collaboration across different studios to consolidate costs on different projects Group Reporting & Consolidation (HFM) Manage monthly and quarterly group reporting processes Upload and validate data into HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) Ensure consistency between local ERP systems and group reporting templates Liaise with group finance for audit and consolidation requirements Tax Credits & Funding Oversee the preparation of documentation for video game tax credits Work with legal and fiscal consultants on filings and compliance Collaborate with national institutions and public bodies, such as DG Cinema and MiC, on grant applications and related funding opportunities. Qualifications Education Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields Experience Consolidated experience in accounting and cost control roles, ideally in the gaming, tech, or media industry Experience with group reporting tools like HFM is strongly preferred Technical Skills Proficient with ERP systems, Oracle PeopleSoft preferably (e.g. Zucchetti, Oracle, SAP) Fluent in English; French knowledge would be a plus Advanced Excel skills Solid knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC); IFRS is a plus Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus Experience with cash pooling is a plus Soft Skills Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail Proactive and organized, with excellent time management Ability to collaborate with creative and technical teams Comfortable working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment Additional Information Ubisoft is committed to creating an inclusive work environment that reflects the diversity of our player community.
