JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks to support the daily operations of our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent organizational skills, a commitment to accuracy, and a willingness to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or clerical role preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including data entry, invoice processing, and payment tracking.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.
  • Assist with preparing financial reports and statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, files, and documentation.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue accounts.
  • Support audits by providing necessary financial documentation and reports.
  • Perform general office duties, including filing, faxing, and photocopying financial documents.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed with financial information and reports.
