JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in corporate or public accounting environments.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Workday, PeopleSoft) and financial concepts.
  • Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as UltiPro or Quick Books is a plus.
  • Excellent math skills with a keen attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze financial data effectively and contribute to budgeting processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Responsibilities
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger accounting.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
  • Support payroll management processes using software such as Quick Books.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial analysis, including credit analysis and account analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and SOX regulations in all accounting practices.
  • Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for bookkeeping tasks.
  • Process tax-related documentation and assist with governmental accounting requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
