SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Proven 3+ years in similar role (preferred)
· Strong work ethic
· CPA designation
· Relevant public accounting experience
· Extensive knowledge in Inter Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
· Strong use and knowledge in accounting software is essential
· Proficient in QBO Microsoft 365, including Office, Outlook, Excel
· Excellent organizational skills with avid attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate accounting records for financial tracking and reporting
  • Conduct compilation, review, audit bookkeeping and tax engagements
  • Preform Payroll, RRSP Contributions, GST filing, Capital asset acquisition and disposition, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP) and intercompany transactions to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assess and assure appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues and payables
  • Adhering to accounting policies and SOP’s and working within financial timelines to meet deadlines.
  • Summarize client’s current financial status by collection information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other relevant reports-report monthly
  • Generate and analyze financial reports using QuickBooks Online.
  • Use Excel to organize, interpret, and present financial data effectively.
  • Manage accounts and reconciliations with precision.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities -Identify process improvements and implement financial strategies.
  • Communicate key insights and financial trends to leadership
  • Assist with human resources tasks, including onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records
  • Assist in daily office administrative duties, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
