WHAT YOU BRING:

At Muskoka Lumber, we’re looking for someone who is dependable, detail-focused, and enjoys working in a supportive, team environment.

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role
  • Completion of a Business Administration – Accounting diploma or equivalent education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); Microsoft Dynamics experience is an asset
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

Responsibilities

As an Accounting Clerk/Assistant at Muskoka Lumber, you’ll be a vital member of our Finance team:

  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve inquiries
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintain organized files for easy retrieval
  • Utilize different accounting systems/platforms to complete daily tasks
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
  • Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion
