Atlantic Emergency Solutions has an immediate full-time opening for an Accounting Clerk in our McConnelsville, Ohio corporate office. Qualified candidates will be required to perform a wide variety of entry-level accounting tasks. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Paid holidays (no waiting period) Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off, start earning day 1 Tool Allowance & Boot Reimbursement Work Environment: McConnelsville, OH Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed. Key Job Duties: Assist with accounts receivable transactions Accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements promptly and accurately Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payments Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment status Manage invoice submission and maintenance for customer payment portals Data Entry Reporting Bookkeeping Resolution of discrepancies related to any of the tasks he or she performs Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records Provide assistance to and support for team members Assist with ensuring the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively Requirements What we’re looking for: Strong written and verbal communication skills Strive for accuracy and attention to detail Proficient with basic computer programs including Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Familiar with and demonstrate comfortability with all bookkeeping and accounting practices and procedure Must have an aptitude for numbers Well organized Work environment and physical demands: This role includes sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and kneeling Successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience.
