About the Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in accounting work. A university degree in accounting, finance, business, or science is a must. If your career aspirations go beyond accounting and extend to finance and real estate, we will train you and help you grow within the company.

As an Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for:

  • Record and categorize financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments.
  • Prepare government remittances including payroll remittance, WCB, GST, T4 and T5 filing.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Work with senior staff for each yearly’s tax filing
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks to support the finance department.
  • Keep up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in accounting, finance, business or science
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or administrative experience in Canada
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other accounting software
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Chinese languages
