Accounting Clerk   Classification Non-Exempt   Job Summary The Accounting Clerk will perform a wide range of office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the Doggett Toyota Lift Accounting Department.   Essential Functions * Post all incoming cash transactions from ACH, Lockbox, Virtual Deposits, Local Deposits, and credit card payments. * Post outgoing cash payments made via ACH or Wire transfer not already recorded by the Accounts Payable department. * Reconcile deposits received as prepayments for equipment. * Reconcile credit card auto posted transactions. * Research payments received without remittance. * Post adjustments to customer receivable accounts as needed. * Communicate with various team members regarding payments received. * Respond to inquiries regarding payments received.   Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent is required * Associate’s degree in accounting preferred * Previous Accounting experience is preferred * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Preferred Skills: * Must be very detailed orientated, have excellent Excel skills, and be self-motivated.   Typical Physical Activity and Environmental Conditions: Physical Demands/Requirements consist of standing, walking, sitting, talking on the phone, occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs., stooping, typing, fine dexterity, hearing and speaking.  Indoor offices. Minimal travel.   The Accounting Clerk must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threat to self or others.
