JOB SUMMARY:

Don’s Appliances is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting the accounting department with daily tasks including processing AP/AR transactions, managing truck
paperwork, handling document filing, and answering incoming calls. If you are organized, dependable, and looking to grow your experience in accounting, we’d love to hear from you.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–5 years of experience in an accounting assistant, office support, or similar role
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, AP/AR processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting software a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or business preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Complete and finalize truck-related paperwork for daily operations
  • Enter and post daily business transactions into accounting systems
  • Process and manage Accounts Payable (AP) invoices Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including posting payments and contacting customers regarding outstanding invoices
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner
  • Scan, file, and organize physical and digital records and documents
  • Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing, payment status, and discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end closings
  • Prepare and send weekly and monthly reports directed by management
  • Perform general office duties
  • Other administrative duties and special projects as assigned
