With good pay, extensive benefits and a family atmosphere, we are seeking an experienced clerk to join the Accounting team. Job Type: Full Time Pay $ 15.75 + Based On Experience Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age Reports To: Controller, Accounting Department This position requires a minimum of one (1) year of hotel front desk experience. Responsibilities include: Administration Process all direct bills after checkout (currently 421 less then 30 days old) Collection process of all direct bill accounts Process and track all tax exemptions for the direct bill accounts (thousands in a year’s time) Building individual direct bills in the PMS system Track the transient check out with balances report and collects the amounts due Processes the outgoing mail on a daily basis Answers phones on a daily basis assisting guests with questions about charges they incurred during their stay Processes advance deposit refunds Post payments received on a daily basis Personal Skills Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Effectively communicate and coordinate with all departments. Scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures. Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care. Adjust to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Assume responsibility for personal growth and development. Conduct yourself, act and dress professionally at all times; sets standards for all associates. Understands and communicates the Margaritaville Lake Resort Mission. Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Actively listens to others. Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis. Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions. Must have a comprehensive knowledge applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations. Must have exceptional mathematical and computer skills. High school education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred. Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
