OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting functions of our organization. This position requires strong clerical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent customer service abilities.

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Previous experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar clerical role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is highly desirable; experience with other accounting software is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience with simPRO system is a strong assets
  • Background in a Security Industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in using Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.) for daily tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset are essential for this role.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Must be fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)

Responsibilities
  • Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) , HST filing .
  • Reconcile financial accounts and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Maintain office supplies inventory
  • Offer exceptional customer service by addressing client and vendor inquiries related to billing or account status.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any discrepancies in financial records.
